THE BACKWARD GLANCE
Canto by canto, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam draws us onward, encouraging, purifying, and guiding us to stop clutching at straws of matter in our search for happiness and security and instead to tightly grasp Lord Hari’s lotus feet through hearing about and glorifying Him. The Backward Glance provides a summary study of the Eleven and Twelve cantos. The Eleventh Canto especially is fairly bare of storyline, but both cantos are rich in philosophy. By weaving together verses, purports, and relevant commentaries from Śrīla Prabhupāda and our ācāryas, this volume will help readers more easily absorb the multifaceted philosophical guidance Kṛṣṇa and the sages offer in these final cantos.
